Kind words are great, but they also need to be supported by kind actions too. Not one of our good wishes will feed the hungry or provide work for a parent with no job. Being hospitable always involves doing something.
When we know a person’s need, we should go the extra step and offer some sort of assistance. With this in mind, as we go about our daily lives, may we all be willing to take the necessary steps involved to ease another’s burden.
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; nothwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
James 2: 15-16
