Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. Psalm 42:11
The doctors have a name for it ; Generalized anxiety. That sometimes nagging feeling that something isn’t quite right, but you just can’t put a finger on it. A lot of us know this feeling all too well. For too many it seems to be almost like a paid position to worry about others and see dangers others never even think about for one second. Yet, Father God didn’t create us to live in fear, but faith and hope. It is His joy to watch over us. And who better to do just that? He is with us and all of those who trust Him, every step of the way.
We are not responsible for anyone or anything. God is in control of every circumstance and individual. Therefore, lay all of your anxious thoughts at His feet today. He is trustworthy. Put your hope in God, and trust in His protection.
