Knowledge Wisdom & Understanding

Wisdom is more than knowledge.

For those of us with children, we encourage them to seek knowledge because it is beneficial to know history, languages, science, and mathematics.  Yet, even the uneducated may have wisdom, which is understanding how to apply knowledge in daily life.

God promises to lay up sound wisdom for the righteous so that we will understand how He wants us to live and therefore bring glory to His name.  If we have to choose between giving our children knowledge or wisdom, we should choose to give them an understanding of the wisdom that comes from God.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5
