Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Challenge word for the day: Worry
Living with worry is like trying to sleep on a bed of thorns, there isn’t anywhere to get comfortable. Many of us find ourselves worried about “this and that”. And what does it solve? Absolutely NOTHING.
We were not made to carry around the burden of worry. We were created to rest in God. I admit sometimes “teeter tottering” with it from time to time. I’m sure most of us do. However, worry will find no place in the heart that trusts in what God will do, can do, and in all that He is willing to do for us.
So, if you find yourself in the position of carrying around the burden of worry today, ponder this:
A trusting heart will seek God above all things, see Him in all things, surrender to Him all things, and totally rely on Him for all things.
