We sow the seed, and Jesus will take care of the increase!
Thursday before last, I was standing on the SW corner of 5th Ave and 35th St. in NYC during the 4:00pm rush hour. There was nothing but a wall of people on the sidewalks and crossing the streets, as far as my eyes could see. Most weren’t walking particularly fast, but they were focused on a final destination. As I was looking upon these individuals I was thinking of their final destination.
In Matthew 9:36 we read of Jesus when He was looking out on the multitudes: “But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like a sheep having no shepherd”.
Jesus in this passage felt great compassion for the crowds of people. When He looked upon all of these followers He saw people who were helpless, tired, hungry, sick, depressed, and sinful. They were to Him as sheep having…
