Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing? Mark 4:38
Sometimes in life our perception is reality. Yet, not always especially when it comes to our perceptions about Father God.
Prime example was when Jesus and His disciples were crossing the Sea of Galilee in a seemingly small boat, when a sudden and terrifying storm threatened to sink their boat.
Jesus was sleeping and the disciples were getting a tad bit anxious, to say the least, when they began asking, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Sounds like us sometimes doesn’t it?
We admittedly, too often perceive His apparent silence as a lack of concern for us. But His care for us is much deeper than anything imaginable. God is all knowing and is concerned about what concerns us!
Therefore, my friend if you are in the midst of a storm know that God has everything in complete control. The waves of life may appear to be sinking your boat, but remember this: God’s got it and He is ever present.
