Apostle Paul
The apostle knew that he would justly have perished, if the Lord had been extreme to mark what was amiss; and also if his grace and mercy had not been abundant to him when dead in sin, working faith and love to Christ in his heart. This is a faithful saying; these are true and faithful words, which may be depended on, That the Son of God came into the world, willingly and purposely to save sinners. No man, with Paul’s example before him, can question the love and power of Christ to save him, if he really desires to trust in him as the Son of God, who once died on the cross, and now reigns upon the throne of glory, to save all that come to God through him. Let us then admire and praise the grace of God our Saviour; and ascribe to the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, three Persons in the unity of the Godhead, the glory of all done in, by, and for us. -Matthew Henry

1 Timothy 1:12-17 NIV

The Lord’s Grace to Paul

“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

We, too like the Apostle Paul can take great comfort in knowing that the blood of Jesus can wash us clean, and make us whole again. Now that is something to shout about! Glory Hallelujah!

Make It Count

We often forget that our lives are intricately written by the hand of God, full of twists and turns. Some chapters are pleasant and joyful, while others not the case. Yet, until we reach the vantage point of eternity, we will not be able to see the full picture.

Only then, when we no longer ” see through a glass darkly,” will every piece to our puzzle fall into place and make sense. Every “coincidence” will then utter it’s true purpose. “Ah ha….Now I understand.” Will be our response.

Our individual stories began on the day of birth, and doesn’t end when we step into eternity. We merely begin a brand new chapter, more exciting than the last. Remember you are the lead character in a very personal story. Your Life!

Make it count.

Thankful for YOU

Tea Among Friends, is truly blessed and thankful for each and every one of You. Blessings on Thanksgiving and Every day!

Thanksgiving Day brings to mind
the blessings in our lives
that usually go unnoticed:
a home that surrounds us
with comfort and protection;
delicious food, for pleasure
in both eating and sharing;
clothes to snuggle up in,
books and good entertainment
to expand our minds;
and freedom to worship our God.
Most of all we are thankful
for our family and friends,
those treasured people
who make our lives extra special.
You are part of that cherished group.
On Thanksgiving, (and every day)
we appreciate you.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Shalom

Peace! What a sweet and glorious way to live and begin a brand new day.

The greatest blessing of peace is “Shalom”, which means the peace of God. It means that we have far more than circumstantial peace, because God’s peace within us is greater than anything happening around us. It is a peace beyond reason or understanding, abiding in the deepest level of who we are.

What better way to start our day, than with the One who is our true Peace.

Shalom

“His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23

Angel of the Lord

The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him,…. By whom may be meant, either the uncreated Angel, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Angel of God’s presence, and of the covenant, the Captain of salvation, the Leader and Commander of the people; and whose salvation is as walls and bulwarks about them; or as an army surrounding them: or a created angel may be intended, even a single one, which is sufficient to guard a multitude of saints, since one could destroy at once such a vast number of enemies, as in 2 Kings 19:35; or one may be put for more, since they are an innumerable company that are on the side of the Lord’s people, and to whom they are joined; and these may be said to encamp about them, because they are an host or army; see Genesis 32:1; and are the guardians of the saints, that stand up for them and protect them, as well as minister to them.

For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him. Psalm 34:7

Perfect Demonstration

The character and nature of Jesus Christ is the definition and perfect demonstration of God’s love for us.

For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Psalm 117:2 NIV

For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. This is the wonderful message He has given us to tell others.
2 Corinthians 5:19 NLT

People

People important to you,
people unimportant to you cross your life,
touch it with love or carelessness and move on.

There are people who leave you and
you breathe a sigh of relief and
wonder why you ever came into contact with them.

There are people who leave you
and you breathe a sigh of remorse, and
wonder why they had to go away and
leave such a gaping hole.

Children leave parents, friends leave friends,
acquaintances move on.
People grow apart.

Friends love and move on,
you think of the many who have moved into
your hazy memory.
You look on those present and wonder.

I believe in God’s master plan.
He moves people in and out of each other’s lives,
and each leaves his mark on the other.

You find you are made up of bits and pieces
of all who every touched your life.
You are more because of it,
and you would be less if they had not touched you.

Pray God, that you accept the bits and pieces in humility and wonder.
Never question and never regret.

Unknown

Its Already Conquered

This morning many of us awakened knowing that there were giants that had to be faced. Well, take courage!

Some may say, “But you don’t know what I’m facing lady!”

No, I don’t know what you’re facing this morning, but Jesus does! He faced temptation and resisted it. He faced Satan and defeated him, He faced death and overcame it. My friend, In Jesus, we are free from fear of the unknown because Jesus has already conquered it all.

“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10
