“We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18 NASB
Have you ever had one of those days or possibly weeks, when no matter how hard you tried to keep a positive outlook, smile instead of frown, look for the rainbow in the midst of the storm, and give an encouraging word to someone when you yourself needed encouragement?
You want to remain optimistic, but find yourself slipping and becoming overwhelmed? Well, admittedly I have found myself there more than once.
Those times when you “know that you know” that God’s got you, and everything will work out in time? However, you struggle because of the seeming large mountain that lies before you? Or you have someone who is whispering the opposite of what you believe in your ear? They are telling you to it’s too far-fetched, you lack the credentials, or it will never work in your favor?
Questions, questions, and more questions? Let me encourage you as I encourage myself.
Faith doesn’t mean that we believe without evidence. It means believing in the realities that reach beyond our physical sight and senses…for which a totally different kind of evidence is required.
It means losing any sense of confidence in ourselves, and placing total trust and complete faith in God. Let go and let God! He’s got you!
The “grace of faith” is an effectual remedy against fainting in times of trouble.
