What would you do right now if you knew you were about to suffer excruciating pain? Would you gather your friends and begin to sing? Probably not! Most of us wouldn’t be able to think past the pain.
Well, it doesn’t have to be like that. Why?
The Bible tells us that we should “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” (Romans 12:12)
It can be difficult. Yet, many of us need to lighten up and not take life so seriously that we forget to rejoice through the tough times as well as the good times. Key thing to remember is ” we go through” the tough times.
Singing….Trouble don’t last always.
We can change our whole perspective on a troubling situation by listening to the song God places within our heart. Don’t believe that you have a song? You do. We just have to tune our spiritual ears a little better to hear it.
During the rough times, we should pull every joyful song that we know out of our memory and let it rip.
And if your singing is like mine….it will definitely chase the blues away.
“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.” Psalm 40:3
