In Sight

God can take the worst of humanity and make them fishers of men,imagesP2KE3Y1U
Yes, the very same ones that we’ve belittled, time and time again.
Some have been robbers and thieves and hopeless beyond our doubt,
But God sees them differently, as He reaches down to lift them out.

God sees things in people, that to us, are completely out of sight, For He knows just what they can do once Jesus becomes their Light.
imagesIPX3NONQTheir potential may only need this special attention to bring it out,
For man to serve with his best, first God needs to remove all doubt.

God sees the good in a person that we have labeled a hopeless case,
For He looks into their heart, when all that we’ll see is the face.
We are not at all good at judging, therefore we are told to judge not,
Because we miss so many of those true qualities that a person’s got.

God’s loving eyes don’t see the raged clothes a person’s wearing,
Instead He sees saved souls coming from the truths they’re sharing.imagesZQ4EHOTD
If we’ll put more love in our sight, I believe we’ll see more clearly,
Just remember, that we’re always in God’s sight and He loves us dearly.

God Sent

God so loved this world of which I’m much a part,
He knows all that’s in and all that is in my heart.
His Son came to it so that all in it can be saved,kristamcgeebooks
Then as He enters into a heart, the sin debt is paid.

If the world had this love it wouldn’t possess hate,
Then no one would be left behind at heaven’s gate.
As Christ came, few recognized the love God sent,
Sadly today, those serving Him are a small percent.

It is the love God intended His world to share,
Till sin brought hate, causing problems and despair.
Hindering those with love in witnessing to the lost,
Yet they continue no matter what may be their cost.

Jesus died for sinners of which I’m very much a part,
He erased my sins and now I am on that saved chart.
Made possible only by God sending to us His Son,
As He becomes our Savior, then new life is begun.

Smile

Smile a little, smile a little, imagesY3A78CZ8
As you go along,
Not alone when life is pleasant,
But when things go wrong.
Care delights to see you frowning,
Loves to hear you sigh;
Turn a smiling face upon her –
Quick the dame will fly.

Smile a little, smile a little,
All along the road;
Every life must have its burden,
Every heart its load.
Why sit down in gloom and darkness
With your grief to sup?
As you drink Fate’s bitter tonic,
Smile across the cup.

Smile upon the troubled pilgrims
Whom you pass and meet;
Frowns are thorns, and smiles are blossoms
Oft for weary feet.
Do not make the way seem harder
By a sullen face;
Smile a little, smile a little,
Brighten up the place.

Smile upon your undone labour;
Not for one who grieves
O’er his task waits wealth or glory;
He who smiles achieves.
Though you meet with loss and sorrow
In the passing years,
Smile a little, smile a little,
Even through your tears.

Thirsty Soul

The soul thirsts,
after rivers deep
pant like gasps,livingwater2.jpg
from inside seep.

Murmurs heard,
from parched lips
needing more,
more ~ than tiny sips.

Living waters,
living hells
flowing streams
dried up old wells.

The arid soul,
is keen and eager
for its full share
not what is meager.

Spring of hope,
scorched creek bed
the thirsty soul needs
the Fountainhead.

Bitter waters,
God will soon heal
water of life flows
from Calvary Hill.

The soul thirsts
after rivers deep
but only God . . .
makes them seep!

What The Traveler Said At Sunset

The shadows grow and deepen round me,
I feel the deffall in the air;
The muezzin of the darkening thicket,
I hear the night-thrush call to prayer.

The evening wind is sad with farewells,
And loving hands unclasp from mine;
Alone I go to meet the darkness
Across an awful boundary-line.

As from the lighted hearths behind me
I pass with slow, reluctant feet,
What waits me in the land of strangeness?
What face shall smile, what voice shall greet?

What space shall awe, what brightness blind me?
What thunder-roll of music stun?
What vast processions sweep before me
Of shapes unknown beneath the sun?

I shrink from unaccustomed glory,
I dread the myriad-voiced strain;
Give me the unforgotten faces,
And let my lost ones speak again.

He will not chide my mortal yearning
Who is our Brother and our Friend;
In whose full life, divine and human,
The heavenly and the earthly blend.

Mine be the joy of soul-communion,
The sense of spiritual strength renewed,
The reverence for the pure and holy,
The dear delight of doing good.

No fitting ear is mine to listen
An endless anthem’s rise and fall;
No curious eye is mine to measure
The pearl gate and the jasper wall.

For love must needs be more than knowledge:
What matter if I never know
Why Aldebaran’s star is ruddy,
Or warmer Sirius white as snow!

Forgive my human words, O Father!
I go Thy larger truth to prove;
Thy mercy shall transcend my longing
I seek but love, and Thou art Love!

I go to find my lost and mourned for
Safe in Thy sheltering goodness still,
And all that hope and faith foreshadow
Made perfect in Thy holy will!       – John Greenleaf Whittier

Precious

You are wondrous, you are precious
Everything that you should be
I look past your sinful natureholding Jesus
Jesus claimed you on the tree
Maybe you are feeling anxious
Wandered off the narrow road
Do not let the lies defeat you
Come to Me and share your load.

I have things that I need doing
Only you can do your part
Let My Spirit overcome you
Place My strength into your heart
Time is counting down so fast
There’s many who have never heard
About the love that I have for them
Come and spread My precious Word.

Misconception About God

Some say He sits upon His throne
To view the sins of men,
Recording all the works we’ve done
‘Til He returns again,untitled.png
They say that He is never seen
And very seldom heard,
They view Him as a Judge so mean
And not a loving Lord
I long to shout from mountain-peaks
Open up your eyes,
You deafened ears, each day He speaks
From earth and sea and skies
Oh, can’t you hear His gentle tone
Melt over every hill
As He treads the breaking dawn
And parts the darkened veil
Oh, can’t you hear Him in the song
Of earth, its Maker praising
The flowing brook, the feathered throng
The eastern sky a-blazing
The cry of babes, the bleat of lamb
The faithful rooster crowing
THERE HE IS, THE GREAT I AM
A GLIMPSE OF HIS LOVE GLOWING
Oh, can’t you see Him ride the storm
In nature’s power wielding
And yet He keeps wee sparrows warm
Beneath a downy shielding
Oh, can’t you see Him in the tears
Of humbled hearts so tender
Bidding farewell to loved ones dear
As back to earth they render
The body of a precious soul
But there is peace in knowing
That this is not their final goal
AH, SEE HIS GREAT LOVE SHOWING
And in the rainbow of the calm
With storm and fury fading
He ministers a healing balm
To faithful hearts a-waiting
And like a rose about to bloom
The tender leaves are parted
He breathes His love into the gloom
And heals the broken-hearted
Then, fragile as a butterfly
Yet strengthened by His spirit
Above life’s storm He lifts us high
HIS LOVE SHOUTS AND WE HEAR IT

Call To Me

God is eager to communicate with us, His children.
For example, in Jeremiah 33:3, The Lord’s words spoken there to Jeremiah extend to us also: “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things.”
What we need to do is to get ready to hear Him. Hearing from God is a learning process that takes time, but is available to everyone who desires it. We don’t have to have reached some high level of maturity spiritually. We don’t have to have it all together, with all the struggles of our lives under control. He is available to us just as we are. It is also important that we allow ourselves the freedom to listen expectantly for Him.untitled.png
During the ministry of Jesus, He took time alone with His Father and told the disciples to do the same. We also need a quiet place(war room) free from distraction. Once there, listen only to the conviction of Holy Spirit(Tone is gentle, loving, imploring and acceptance, Specific, Encouraging, Releases us from the past, Attracts, Draws into fellowship, and Truthful) and not the condemnation of the devil( Tone is accusing, nagging, mocking, causes fear and confusion. Vague, Discouraging, Bringing up the past, Rejection, Isolation and Negative ). images
Their languages are completely opposite.
Our Father, actively pursues a relationship with you and I. He delights in us, and desires to bring restoration to the painful places in our lives. He is our refuge from fear and anxiety. He holds out His strength when we are weak, and longs to mourn with us when we are broken.
Listen to Him. He is our ever present help, and is our guide every step of the way!

To Seek God

imagesE23O8G49

To SEEK God, or to search for God means to research Him
in order to know Him.

~ Though He is invisible, He is Omnipresent.
~ Though we are limited, He is Omniscient.
~ Though we are weak, He is Omnipotent.
~ We are fickle, He is Immutable.
~ We are angry, He is Love.
~ We are confused, He is Order.
~ We are hurting, He is Peace.

And He promised if we SEEK Him, we shall surely find Him.
