True Love

Love can always conquer

Whatever discord brings

and love can also coverwpid-images-27.jpeg

a multitude of things.

Don’t you underestimate

what love can ever do,

for love is God eternal

and His love can renew.

What is cold and lifeless,

now lost all hope and died,

for love can breathe new meaning

and give it back new life.

Please don’t give up on love

when it seems that all is lost,

for there is always hope

if we’re prepared to pay the cost.

For love is always worth it

no matter how much the price,

for love will be much stronger

when we trust in Jesus Christ.

So let God have full reign,

let Him live within your heart

then you will know true love,

for this He will impart.

Let’s Do This

“…Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing…” –1 Thessalonians 5:11 AMP

How we all need to have a word of encouragement. It makes all the difference with how we perform in our jobs, in the home, or even in our ministries. So often it’s easy for people to focus on the negative, rather than the positive, such as the mistakes we may make and the hopeless situation we feel we’re in. Just one word of encouragement can change all that. It encourages us to carry on and give it our best. It makes us feel appreciated, and that we do make a difference.

As we go about our day, let’s be mindful of the people we come in contact with, and speak an encouraging word. It will brighten their day!

Encouragement, we so desire
For it’s this that lift’s our spirits higher.

Where Could I Go From You

Read: Psalm 139:1-18

This is such an awesome Psalm. So much is said here. God knows everything about us, and He has searched us thoroughly and understands and knows all our thoughts. He knows how we will respond to things. Nothing we do or say could ever surprise Him. There is nowhere we can go to get away from Him, or to hide from Him. He knows where we are at all times. I find that quite comforting to know. He loves us so much that He would be that concerned for us. He is always there to guide us, and to lead us (v: 10). livingwater2

He knitted us together in our Mothers womb. We were, “…intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery].” (v: 15) I love that description. We are like a beautiful embroidery the Lord has woven. He saw our unformed substance, while we were being formed in the womb. All our days were written in His book, before we were even born (v: 16). How very special we are to the Lord. He has such an awesome plan for each of us. We are not here by accident. We have a purpose and a destiny in God. We are here for a reason. God has a dream and a vision that He has placed in each one of us to fulfil.

How precious are His thoughts toward us. They out number the sand (v: 17-18). Isn’t that incredible? God must think about us all the time. This really struck me as I was reading this passage. To know we are on God’s mind that much. That He could care and be concerned with our lives that much, is such a comforting thing to know. What love is that!

May we today have a deeper sense of God’s presence with us wherever we may be, wherever we may go, whatever we may be doing today. Take comfort in knowing that God is thinking of you and is always with you.

“…For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!].” ~ Hebrews 13:5b (AMP)

Where could I go from your spirit?
And why would I want to hide?
For you care so much about me, Lord,
And are always by my side.

Casting My Care

Lord, I continually set before you,
My requests and all my needs
With thanksgiving I come unto you,
My concerns unburdened to thee

I wait for your intervention, Lord,
In quietness of soul and mind
And worship at your footstool,
Leaving my cares behind

And Lord, I express my thanks for you,
For all you are to me,
I thank you, Lord, that I matter to you,
Though at times, I cannot see

Because of the circumstances in life,
The things that I go through,
I find my eyes are on the storm,
When they should be looking to you

So help me, Lord, each precious day,
No matter what life brings me,
To carry on with hope and faith
And to rest in you with peace.

Delicate Strands-Hand Crafted

Delicate strands knitted together with love
Created by the master artist above
Each and every thread is unique
More valuable than any antique

Every fiber is crafted a certain way
Yes, He is the potter and we are the claypotterhands
Each and everyone is designed by God
Placed in the womb leading to the path he’ll trod

There are no imperfections and no mistakes
He crafted one and all for the road they would take
He knew you before He ever placed you in the womb
Knows all about you; doesn’t have to assume

He knew where you’d live and your destiny
Knew the type of person you’d grow up to be
Every life He crafted with His hands
Knew how you’d fit right into His plans

There are no accidents in this life you lead
There’s a reason for everything even when you bleed
Every motion that we make has a reason in time
As well as every rocky road and hill we climb

God knows the ways of our heart
He gives choices as to the life we’ll impart
He loves us all unconditionally as a father should
But He will never make you follow even though He could

Precious children that He knitted one by one
Hoping one day they will accept Him through His Son
Rejoicing in the day He can bring us all home
Where His children will never more have to roam.

To The End

The Lord is my God,82cacd675fc344cc4a9223bc5d501acc.jpg
from beginning to end
His love and mercy
are around every bend.

No matter where I go,
or whatever I do . . .
His grace is before me
it always shines through.

He is always with me,
I know that He cares
and all of my worries
I know that He bears.

When first I met Him,
I knew I was in love
for His goodness fits
my heart like a glove.

I’ll never leave Him,
I’ll follow Him to the end
for I have never found
a better helper or friend!

Psalm 54:4
King James Version

“Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is
with them that uphold my soul.”

Showers of Mercy

Showers of mercy
fall on me each day
sprinkles of favor
on my soul spray.

Oh, I am grateful,
oh, how I’m blessed
as showers of mercy
on me, come to rest.

Healing and restoring,
hope, drips from above
droplets of God’s goodness
trickles of His love.

Oh, how I am thankful.
oh, I am blessed
when showers of mercy
on me, come to rest.

Compassion and pity,
downpours of sweet liberty
showers of redemption
cloud bursts of tranquility.

Oh, how I am thankful.
oh, I am blessed
as showers of mercy
on me, come to rest.

Showers of mercy,
each day to embrace
each drop a reminder . . .
of God’s gift of grace!

“The Lord is good to all:  and his tender mercies  are over all his works.” Psalm 145:9

IF

If all the sermons good men preach
And all the precepts that they teach
Were gathered into one
Unbroken line of silver speech,
The shining filament might reach
From earth unto the sun. imagesQD3VRPLK
If all the stories ever told
By wild romancers, young or old,
Into a thread were drawn,
And from its cable coil unrolled,
‘Twould span those misty hills of gold
That heaven seems resting on.

If every folly, every freak,
From day to day, from week to week,
Is written in “The Book,”
With all the idle words we speak,
Would it not crimson many a cheek
Upon the page to look?

If all the good deeds that we do
From honest motives pure and true
Shall there recorded be,
Known unto God and angels too,
Is it not sad they are so few
And wrought so charily?

Our Master’s Spirit

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

1 John 3:18

jkl

THIS is a personal matter. Each one of us is under this testing. If not yet, sooner or later, undoubtedly, this willingness to sacrifice in the interests of the brethren will prove each one of us either loyal, faithful to our covenant, or contrariwise—unfaithful. Let us make this matter of love for the brethren and laying down our lives for the brethren a matter of personal study and of practical application to our own hearts, minds, thoughts, words, actions. And let us pray for one another, as well as exhort one another along these lines, striving to be filled with our Master’s Spirit.

The Faith We Need

faith-living-300x294Too tall our structures, and too swift our pace;
Not so we mount, not so we gain the race.
Too loud the voice of commerce in the land;
Not so truth speaks, not so we understand.
Too vast our conquests, and too large our gains;
Not so comes peace, not so the soul attains.

But the need of the world is a faith that will live anywhere;
In the still dark depths of the woods, or out in the sun’s full glare.
A faith that can hear God’s voice, alike in the quiet glen,
Or in the roar of the street, and over the noises of men.

And the need of the world is a creed that is founded on joy;
A creed with the turrets of hope and trust, no winds can destroy;
A creed where the soul finds rest, whatever this life bestows,
And dwells undoubting and unafraid, because it knows, it knows.

And the need of the world is love that burns in the heart like flame;
A love for the Giver of Life, in sorrow or joy the same;
A love that blazes a trail to Go through the dark and the cold,
Or keeps the pathway that leads to Him clean, through glory and gold.

For the faith that can only thrive or grow in the solitude,
And droops and dies in the marts of men, where sights and sounds are rude;
That is not a faith at all, but a dream of a mystic’s heart;
Our faith should point as the compass points, whatever be the chart.

Our faith must find its centre of peace in a babel of noise;
In the changing ways of the world of men it must keep its poise;
And over the sorrowing sounds of earth it must hear God’s call;
And the faith that cannot do all this, that is not faith at all.
