Motivated From The Heart

We can do all the right things
And be eloquent in what we say,
But if we don’t have love in our hearts,images9zhoyofy
What we do and say is in vain

We can give everything to those in need,
Even sacrifice all our time,
But if we don’t have God’s love inside,
It’s as if our faith is blind

The only motivation we should have
Is God’s compassionate heart,
To really have God’s mercy and grace
For the many lost in the dark

Touch us again with your love
And a desire for the lost
To show them there is a better way,
To lead them to Jesus cross

So they, too, may be deeply touched
With your saving grace, O Lord,
And know the missing link is you,
The key that unlocks the door

For you have reconciled us, Lord,
Back to our Father above,
To have meaningful relationship
And receive His eternal love

So, may our walk be blameless, Lord,
Reflecting who you are
Let nothing we do be in vain,
But be motivated from the heart.

Kind words and deeds
Can spread all joyRelated image
So keep them together
And let all enjoy

The remedies of blue
And the vision of hope
For this is how
You can learn to cope
With the trouble’s of life

L-O-V-E

L is for the loyalty you have for Father above
And it stands for the legacy of His amazing love
O is for the only Savior who can make a Saul into a Paul
And it stands for His omnipotence; The Lord over us all
V is for the vindication He gives through Jesus on the cross
And it stands for victory for we all will not be lost
E is for the earthly form in Jesus Christ His son
And it stands for everlasting; the Father’s will be donewpid-images-27.jpeg

Put all the letters together to spell love
Sent straight to us from our Father above
Love others as we love ourselves is the greatest command
Just as Jesus loved us as part of the Master’s plan
Love is the greatest of faith, hope, love, and charity
Love is the very basis of Christianity

You can’t be a Christian with no love to impart
Not when God, the very essence of love, lives right within your heart!

He Knows…

“You keep track of all my sorrows.  You have collected all my tears in your bottle.  You have recorded each one in your book.”

Psalm 56:8 NLT

SOMETIMES I almost wonder if my Lord doth
really know
About the many little things that wound my poor
heart so.
I can but wonder if He knows the anguish of my
soul,
When tempests beat upon my head, and surging
billows roll;
I wonder if He hears at night my weary, longing
sighs,
I wonder if He sees the tears that tremble in mine
eyes!
I wonder if my burdens weigh upon His tender
heart,
And in my many sorrows, if His great love shares a part!

*   *   *

Ah! no, I will not wonder, I will silence every
fear,
I’ve read that “in His bottle He doth treasure up
each tear;”
I know that He who heeds the smallest sparrow when
it falls,
Will surely, surely hearken when His own child
feebly calls;
I know that He who stilled the waves on Galilee’s
dark sea,
Will bid the storms of life, “Be still,” that rudely
threaten me.
Ah! no, I do not wonder, I am sure my Lord doth
know
About the many, many things that wound my poor
heart so!

Take Time To Be Holy

TAKE time to be holy! Speak oft with the Lord;
Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word;
Make friends of God’s children, help those who are weak,
Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.

Take time to be holy! The world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret with Jesus alone;images1Q72C6SE
By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be;
Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see.

Take time to be holy! Let Him be thy guide,
And run not before Him, whatever betide;
In joy or in sorrow, still follow the Lord,
And, looking to Jesus, still trust in His word!

Take time to be holy! Be calm in thy soul,
Each thought and each motive beneath His control;
Thus led by His spirit to fountains of love,
Thou soon shalt be fitted for service above.

If We All Understood

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”  1 Samuel 16:7

COULD we draw aside the curtainsImage result for helping others
That surround each other’s lives,
See the naked heart and spirit,
Know what spur the action gives—
Often we would find it better,
Purer than we judge we would;
We would love each other better
If we only understood.

Could we judge all deeds by motives,
See the good and bad within,
Often we would love the sinner
All the while we loathe the sin.
Could we know the powers working
To o’erthrow integrity,
We would judge each other’s errors
With more patient charity.

If we knew the cares and trials,
Knew the efforts all in vain,
And the bitter disappointments—
Understood the loss and gain—
Would the grim external roughness
Seem, I wonder, just the same?
Would we help where now we hinder?
Would we pity where we blame?

Ah, we judge each other harshly,
Knowing not life’s hidden force;
Knowing not the fount of action
Is less turbid at its source.
Seeing not amid the evil
All the golden grains of good,
Oh, we’d love each other better
If we only understood.

He That Scattereth Increaseth

IS thy cruse of comfort failing?
Rise and share it with another,
And through all the years of famine
It shall serve thee and thy brother. 12-Grow Love

Love Divine will fill thy storehouse,
Or thy handful still renew
Scanty fare for one will often
Make a royal feast for two.

For the heart grows rich in giving;
All its wealth is living grain;
Seeds which mildew in the garner,
Scattered, fill with gold the plain.
Is thy burden hard and heavy?
Do thy steps drag wearily?
Help to bear thy brother’s burden;
God will bear both it and thee.

Numb and weary on the mountains,
Wouldst thou sleep amid the snow?
Chafe that frozen form beside thee,
And together both shall glow.
Art thou stricken in life’s battle?
Many wounded round thee moan;
Lavish on their wounds thy balsams,
And that balm shall heal thine own.

Is thy heart a well left empty?
None but God its void can fill;
Nothing but a ceaseless Fountain
Can its ceaseless longings still.
Is thy heart a living power?
Self-entwined, its strength sinks low;
It can only live in loving,
And by serving love will grow.
