Our Every Acts of Worship

Everything we do
Is an act of worship
That brings pleasure and delight
When it’s done for God,
It touches His heart
And is our God-given purpose in life

For God created
Everything that exists
For His glory and His pleasure
And we, His children,
Have so much worth,
More valuable than priceless treasure

For worshipping God
Is truly a lifestyle,
Affecting everything we do
It’s not just in singing
Spiritual songs,
But in our everyday happenings too

As we minister to those
We see in need,
Offering to them our service,
And even the mundane,
Everyday things,
To God, they’re acts of worship

We need to be offering
As a dedication
Every area of our lives
As an act of spiritual
Worship to God
And a most holy sacrifice

For God cares so much
About every detail
No matter how great or small,
For God will walk
In our every day life
As we establish Him as Lord.

Love Is Priceless

IT is not the deed we do,

Though the deed be ever so fair,

But the love that the dear

Lord looketh for, Image result for helping others

Hidden with holy care

In the heart of the deed so fair.

The love is the priceless thing,

The treasure our treasure must hold;

Or ever the Lord will take the gift,

Or tell the worth of the gold

By the love that cannot be told.

My Prayer

Please be there to help me,
For I cannot stand alone.
Please be there to guide me,
I can’t make it on my own.
Please be there to lift me,images0PYL9VFN
If I should fall by the way.
Please be there to give me
The right words to speak today.

Let me care for my brothers,
The ones who are down and out,
Putting love into action
Daring to be talked about.
Lifting someone’s burden,
Telling them ‘Jesus cares’
Give me strength and help me
To dry somebody’s tears.

Someone was there for me,
When my life was in a mess,
Someone said, Jesus loved me,
And wanted me to find rest.
Now may I pass the message
To someone else in need,
Obeying His commandment,
By my words and my deeds.

“A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.” Proverbs 17:17 NLT

Reason to Praise

Who can put into words and tell the mighty deeds of the Lord? Or who can show forth all the praise [that is due Him]? Psalm 106:2 AMP

The psalmist here praised God for His mighty deeds, but we have reason to praise Him for the small acts of grace as well. As you go throughout this day, take a moment to stop and thank God for every mini miracle that has and will occur around you. Because nothing simply just happens. Nothing!

Do it Anyway

There is a popular saying today that “no good deed goes unrewarded”.  Well, lets be honest sometimes it feels that way.  But hey, no one promised us that hospitality and brotherly love would come easy.  And certainly there is no guarantee that it will be rewarded to us here on earth.

We must continue to treat others with love and dignity. And pray that we don’t get emotionally mugged in return.  Ohhhh!  But Father God, promised us that our good toward others would be rewarded.  Why?  Because of our faith and trust in God and His Word.

Therefore, when we are tempted to stop performing acts of kindness…Don’t!!!  Do it anyway.  Not because you are looking for any type of reward, but because in doing so we honor God.

“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:40

Extra step

Kind words are great, but they also need to be supported by kind actions too.  Not one of our good wishes will feed the hungry or provide work for a parent with no job.  Being hospitable always involves doing something.

When we know a person’s need, we should go the extra step and offer some sort of assistance.  With this in mind, as we go about our daily lives, may we all be willing to take the necessary steps involved to ease another’s burden.

If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; nothwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

James 2: 15-16
