Just To Let Thy Father…..

imagesFZXKTSIX

JUST to let Thy Father do what He will;
Just to know that He is true, and be still.
Just to follow, hour by hour, as He leadeth;
Just to draw the moment’s power, as it needeth.
Just to trust Him, this is all. Then the day will
surely be
Peaceful, whatso’er befall, bright and blessed, calm
and free.

Just to let Him speak to thee, through His Word,
Watching, that His voice may be clearly heard.
Just to tell Him everything, as it rises,
And at once to bring to Him all surprises.
Just to listen, and to stay where you cannot miss His
voice,
This is all! and thus today, you, communing, shall
rejoice.

Just to trust, and yet to ask guidance still;
Take the training or the task, as He will.
Just to take the loss or gain, as He sends it;
Just to take the joy or pain as He lends it.
He who formed thee for His praise will not miss the
gracious aim;
So today, and all thy days, shall be moulded for
the same.

Just to leave in His dear hand little things;
All we cannot understand, all the stings.
Just to let Him take the care sorely pressing;
Finding all we let Him bear changed to blessing.
This is all! and yet the way marked by Him who
loves thee best:
Secret of a happy day, secret of His promised rest.

The Narrow Way

MATT. 7:14.

“DEAR Lord, the way seems very dark,
I cannot see.”
“Yes, child, I know, but I will be thy Light—
Come, follow Me!”

“Dear Lord, so lonely is this way—
Where are my friends?”
“My child, dost thou forget how far from Me
Their pathway tends?”

“Dear Master, I am growing weak,
I scarce can stand.”
“O, foolish child, trust not in thine own strength,
Come, take My hand;

“For I have trod this way before,
So dark to thee.
I know each step, its weariness and pain,
Wilt trust in Me?”

“Yea, Lord, though friendless, lonely, dark,
This way may be,
I will be strong. Beloved Guide, lead on,
I follow Thee!”

The ONE Who Can See In Us

“The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.” Psalm 25:14

I’ve lately looked to the mirror
To find out what I lack Image result for look in the mirror
But the mirror has no opinions
It doesn’t see how I act

It only sees my appearance
It knows nothing more
It doesn’t see how I am outside
What I’m like outside that door

I’ve lately looked to the door
For guidance, for direction, for a way
But the door can’t choose it for me
I have to decide which path to take

I have to open it myself
Then direct my steps from there Outside,
the possibilities blind me
There are dreams in the air

I’ve lately looked to the sky
To find opportunity
But the dreams there belong to others
There’s nothing just for me

There are many places I can go from here
Each direction better than the last
I wish I had a Friend to help
An acquaintance from the past

He would answer some of my questions
Like should I go far or stay near?
Instead, he gives me some different advice der
Advice I don’t want to hear

He says to go back to the beginning
That I’m starting off far too soon
But then I realize I haven’t moved at all
I’m still here, in the same room

So I look to a different mirror
Not for the outside,
But in This ‘mirror’ is the One who helped me;
The one I can call a Friend

Unlike the mirror, this Friend can judge
He can show me the way, unlike the door
Unlike the sky, His advice is only for me
Unlike me, He’s been there before.

We Need you, Lord

We need you, Lord.
Like lost wanderers in a burning, empty desert
thirst for cool, clean water,
we long for you to quench us.

Christian message be my guide

In a world gone progressively mad,
with chaos all around us,
we seek refuge in the order and purpose of your law.
With evil sneaking, leaking everywhere,
spreading heavy darkness,
creating feelings of emptiness,
we hunger for your goodness and light.
Turn us around, Lord, we pray;
retrieve your sheep who have gone astray.
Draw us to the satisfaction
of your purity and righteousness.
Cleanse us, and make us more like you,
role models, examples, beacons,
for others who are searching for meaning for their lives.
Come, Lord Jesus.
We need you, Lord.

Where Could I Go From You

Read: Psalm 139:1-18

This is such an awesome Psalm. So much is said here. God knows everything about us, and He has searched us thoroughly and understands and knows all our thoughts. He knows how we will respond to things. Nothing we do or say could ever surprise Him. There is nowhere we can go to get away from Him, or to hide from Him. He knows where we are at all times. I find that quite comforting to know. He loves us so much that He would be that concerned for us. He is always there to guide us, and to lead us (v: 10). livingwater2

He knitted us together in our Mothers womb. We were, “…intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery].” (v: 15) I love that description. We are like a beautiful embroidery the Lord has woven. He saw our unformed substance, while we were being formed in the womb. All our days were written in His book, before we were even born (v: 16). How very special we are to the Lord. He has such an awesome plan for each of us. We are not here by accident. We have a purpose and a destiny in God. We are here for a reason. God has a dream and a vision that He has placed in each one of us to fulfil.

How precious are His thoughts toward us. They out number the sand (v: 17-18). Isn’t that incredible? God must think about us all the time. This really struck me as I was reading this passage. To know we are on God’s mind that much. That He could care and be concerned with our lives that much, is such a comforting thing to know. What love is that!

May we today have a deeper sense of God’s presence with us wherever we may be, wherever we may go, whatever we may be doing today. Take comfort in knowing that God is thinking of you and is always with you.

“…For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!].” ~ Hebrews 13:5b (AMP)

Where could I go from your spirit?
And why would I want to hide?
For you care so much about me, Lord,
And are always by my side.

To The End

The Lord is my God,82cacd675fc344cc4a9223bc5d501acc.jpg
from beginning to end
His love and mercy
are around every bend.

No matter where I go,
or whatever I do . . .
His grace is before me
it always shines through.

He is always with me,
I know that He cares
and all of my worries
I know that He bears.

When first I met Him,
I knew I was in love
for His goodness fits
my heart like a glove.

I’ll never leave Him,
I’ll follow Him to the end
for I have never found
a better helper or friend!

Psalm 54:4
King James Version

“Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is
with them that uphold my soul.”

My(Our)Prayer

Please be there to help me,
For I cannot stand alone.
Please be there to guide me,
I can’t make it on my own.s
Please be there to lift me,
If I should fall by the way.
Please be there to give me
The right words to speak today.

Let me care for my brothers,
The ones who are down and out,
Putting love into action
Daring to be talked about.
Lifting someone’s burden,
Telling them ‘Jesus cares’
Give me strength and help me
To dry somebody’s tears.

Someone was there for me,
When my life was in a mess,
Someone said, Jesus loved me,
And wanted me to find rest.
Now may I pass the message
To someone else in need,
Obeying His commandment,
By my words and my deeds.

Guiding Our Steps

When my children were learning to walk, they would cling to my fingers because they were still unsteady on their feet.  They were afraid of slipping, yet I was there ready to steady them and watch over them.

As they walked with my help, I can remember the sparkle of thankfulness, happiness, and security that was in their eyes.  However, there were moments when they wanted to explore and would try to walk toward the edge of the yard, near the street, a definite off limits zone.  Me of course always watching, tell them No! Come back this way.  Explaining to them the dangers of playing near the street, with fast moving cars.imagesU22RDQLA.jpg

Like children, we often need someone to watch over us too.  To guide and steady us in our spiritual walk.  And we have that someone, God our Father.  He helps His children learn to walk, guides our steps, holds our hand, and directs us in the way that we should go.

In Psalm 18(scripture link below),  King David knew all about the need for God’s watchful care in his life.  He describes how God gives us strength and guidance when we are lost or confused.  He keeps our feet steady, like the feet of the deer that climb some pretty high places without ever slipping.

With God, even if we do slip or go in the wrong direction(and we will from time to time), His hand is right there to catch us and get us back on the right path.  And it doesn’t matter whether we are new believers just learning to walk in the faith, or we are further along in our walk.

Our loving Father, is right there with His guiding, steadying hand leading us safely home.  As His children, He will never leave our side.
