A Time To Believe

To believe is to know that every day is a new beginning.

Is to trust that miracles happen,

and dreams really do come true.
To believe is to see angels

dancing among the clouds,

To know the wonder of a stardust sky

and the wisdom of the man in the moon.
To believe is to know the value of a nurturing heart,

The innocence of a child’s eyes

and the beauty of an aging hand,

for it is through their teachings we learn to love.
To believe is to find the strength

and courage that lies within us

When it’s time to pick up

the pieces and begin again.
To believe is to know

we are not alone,

That life is a gift

and this is our time to cherish it.
To believe is to know

that wonderful surprises are just

waiting to happen,

And all our hopes and dreams are within reach.
If only we believe.

Help Yourself To Happiness

Everybody, everywhere
seeks happiness, it’s true,
But finding it and keeping it
seem difficult to do.
Difficult because we think
that happiness is found
Only in the places where
wealth and fame abound.
And so we go on searchinghappy.jpg
in palaces of pleasure
Seeking recognition
and monetary treasure,
Unaware that happiness
is just a state of mind
Within the reach of everyone
who takes time to be kind.
For in making others happy
we will be happy, too.
For the happiness you give away
returns to shine on you.

Sweet Valentine

Sweet Valentine, Sweet Love of mine
I give my all and my heart to Thee
So precious are You to me, LORD
Your Love is all I know and see

Never have I known a man
To love me more sweetly and true

aThan You, my beloved Savior
In all You ever say and do

Truly you are the Love of my life
You are the One for Whom I sing
Great is the joy, the peace, the comfort
That every day to me You bring

Stay with me, my Beloved
I plead that You never leave my side
Betrothed I am, with all Your Church
To be Your pure and beloved Bride

You died for me, my Love
On Calvary You poured out Your all
How can I but answer and follow
When You, my Lord, do call?

Bind my heart to Yours, my Jesus
Grant that You and I may never part
For to know You is to know love
So I give You my all and my heart

On this Day of Saint Valentine
I celebrate You and the love You give
Wondrous it is to be in love with You
To be one with You is to truly live

May each one know you, dear Lord
May each one experience Your love sweet
May each one find You and Your Heart
May I express Your love to each one I meet

Life Eternal and Love Unceasing
Both I have found in You, the Son
You are to me everything, yes, all things
You are my meaning, my passion and my One

So a song of Valentine I sing to You
My heart beats for You as I sing rhyme
I have found my eternal and my true Love
Yes, He will be with me until the end of time.

Every Scar has a Story

Every scar has a story
What will mine tellimages9aebqatl
What will come of this
when I’m better, when I’m well

I want my scar to tell
of how I’ve overcome
of how I made it through
of where I have come from

I want my scar to whisper
about the pain I faced
about this very hard time
about the marathon I raced

But mostly I want my scar
to speak of something greater
I want it to shout
about my living Creator

Let my scar be evidence
that there is a loving Lord
who fought my scary battles
and on whose wings I soared

Let my scar proclaim
that all things work for good
that by myself I couldn’t
but with my God I could

Let them take a look
Let them peek and see
My scar shows God is great
It points to Him, not me.

Christmas-Celebrate Jesus Birth

l
Christmas is the time of year to reflect with thoughtful prayer,….
to cast aside of all bad thought and habits you expressed throughout the year.
We can all join together to celebrate Jesus birth,….a renewal and beginning right here on planet earth.

Jesus left all of us a message while here on earth, to love, to care.
his words were ever simple, plain and so very, very clear:
“Be kind to one another throughout the coming year”.

Christmas is the time of year to spend with the young and old, the needy, greedy and the poor. A time to love, a time to share.
let us all spread our love around with all our heart and soul,….
for the love of your neighbor should never turn so cold.

Rhubarb

drPut some dung upon your rhubarb
Watch it shoot into the sky
Fertilize your prize tomatoes
See the trusses hanging high
Compost is a fine addition
When your soil is lacking clout
Helps the seeds turn into plantlets
Growth is healthy there’s no doubt.

It’s the same when we are Christians
Need some substance in our food
Daily meetings with The Father
Help to get us in the mood
Meditating on the Bible
Shows us where we need to go
Be connected to the vine tree
Awesome fruit will surely grow.

Conversion

I have lived this life as the skeptic lives it;
I have said the sweetness was less than the gall;
Praising, nor cursing, the Hand that gives it,
I have drifted aimlessly through it all.
I have scoffed at the tale of a so-called heaven;
I have laughed at the thought of a Supreme Friend;
I have said that it only to man was given
To live, to endure; and to die was the end.

But I know that a good God reigneth,
Generous-hearted and kind and true;
Since unto a worm like me he deigneth
To send so royal a gift as you.
Bright as a star you gleam on my bosom,
Sweet as a rose that the wild bee sips;
And I know, my own, my beautiful blossom,
That none but a God could mould such lips.

And I believe, in the fullest measure
That ever a strong man’s heart could hold,
In all the tales of heavenly pleasure
By poets sung or by prophets told;
For in the joy of your shy, sweet kisses,
Your pulsing touch and your languid sigh
I am filled and thrilled with better blisses
Than ever were claimed for souls on high.

And now I have faith in all the stories
Told of the beauties of unseen lands;
Of royal splendors and marvelous glories
Of the golden city not made with hands
For the silken beauty of falling tresses,
Of lips all dewy and cheeks aglow,
With–what the mind in a half trance guesses
Of the twin perfection of drifts of snow;

Of limbs like marble, of thigh and shoulder
Carved like a statue in high relief–
These, as the eyes and the thoughts grow bolder,
Leave no room for an unbelief.
So my lady, my queen most royal,
My skepticism has passed away;
If you are true to me, true and loyal,
I will believe till the Judgment-day.       – Ella Wheeler Wilcox

God Knows Best

Our Father knows what’s best for us,
So why should we complain
We always want the sunshine,
But He knows there must be rain

We love the sound of laughter
And the merriment of cheer,
But our hearts would lose their tenderness
If we never shed a tear…

Our Father tests us often
With suffering and with sorrow,
He tests us, not to punish us,
But to help us meet tomorrow…

For growing trees are strengthened
When they withstand the storm,
And the sharp cut of a chisel
Gives the marble grace and form…

God never hurts us needlessly,
And He never wastes our pain
For every loss He send to us
Is followed by rich gain…

And when we count the blessings
That God has so freely sent,
We will find no cause for murmuring
And no time to lament…

For our Father loves His children,
And to Him all things are plain,
So He never sends us pleasure
When the soul’s deep need is pain…

So whenever we are troubled,
And when everything goes wrong,
It is just God working in us
To make our spirit strong.
