Enjoy Life

Life’s too short to be wasted.
It passes just once, so make the most out of it.
Live life the way you want it to be.
Live it to the fullest, feel free!

Live as the sun shines in the sky.
Live as high as the birds can fly.
Live as the colors of a rainbow.imagesZHGH5XS4Live as far as the clouds can go.

Never waste it with worthless doubts and fears,
With insecurities and useless tears.
Remember that what couldn’t tear you makes you strong.
Put away frustrations, sing your own song!

Believe in what you can do.
The world is round; it’s all up to you.
Think fast, act now!
Time is gold; it couldn’t be renewed.

Value experiences, learn from mistakes.
Improve for the better, live for others.
Do what is right and what is best.
Always be yourself, unique from the rest.

Laugh as if there’s no tomorrow.
Dance as though you’ll never get through.
Love with all your heart and soul.
Sing like you’re on the top of the world.

Forget the money, the root of all evil.
Treasure your loved ones; you’re blessed they’re still here.
Strengthen your faith, live with God.
The best things in life are for free, so why not?!

Pointing To Jesus

“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 13:351-3_tipstohelp2

You’re sitting in your car, stuck in traffic on a freeway or busy thoroughfare.  Looking around, you notice an exceptionally bright billboard standing high above the traffic on the side of the road.  You look away for a moment and then look back–and the sign is showing a different advertisement!

Increasingly common these days, you’ve just seen one of the new digital billboards.  Its like a computer or television screen in your home, or a Jumbotron screen at a sports stadium–changing images instantly using bright, electronic displays.

“Capturing eyeballs”….its the new standard in advertising, especially on the Internet.  Capture a person’s attention and your chances of educating them and making a sale increase.  Signs are important in more than just advertising.

Jesus said there was one primary “sign” by which the world will know that people are His followers: the way we love one another.  Sometimes a simple act of love will be a sign to others that there is something different about a person.  And a conversation about Christ may follow.

Look for an opportunity today to be a sign that points to Jesus….by demonstrating His love to others.

The Road of Faith

Shine your light, O Lord,
So that I may see,
Just where I am heading
And what’s in front of me

Your word is the light,
The lamp unto my feet
It may not light far ahead,
Nor show me where it’s steep

But it gives enough lightuntitled
For each step I take,
Just enough to see ahead,
Along this road of faith

For this is what it surely is
As we walk with Jesus Christ,
The road that we are travelling on
Is by faith, not by sight

So shine your light, O Lord,
So we may see our way,
Though you only show in part,
It’s enough for each new day.

Ordering Our Lives

“Only let us hold true to what we have already attained and walk and order our lives by that.” ~ Philippians 3: 16 (AMP)

The preceding verses mention that we need to be pressing forward toward the goal – to win the prize. In V: 16, it speaks of holding true to what we have already attained or learned in our Christian walk, and order our lives by that. Yes, we should have our eyes fixed on the goal – the heavenly prize, but in the meantime, while we’re striving toward what’s ahead, we should live in accordance to what we have already attained in God. Not neglecting what we’ve already learned – as if we can slack off a bit. For by doing so, we may end up going backwards and become stagnate.

As we walk with Christ, we need to keep the momentum moving forward. By walking and ordering our lives to what we have already attained causes us to get a real grasp of the truths of God, so that we can move on to the next level in Him, with more confidence of who we are in Christ.

I shall hold true thus far,
To what I’ve attained
And order my life by
The knowledge I’ve gained

True Peace

Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all! 2 Thessalonians 3:16

Everyone is looking for peace. Some travel to other countries or try alternative philosophies and lifestyles to find inner peace. Some even think that food, drink, and relationships will satisfy the holes in their heart that only God alone can fill. These things will only provide a once-in-a-while peace. Nothing everlasting.

The Word of God tells us that it’s not what we eat or drink that provides lasting satisfaction. True peace and joy comes from listening to Holy Spirit, knowing God, and faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As you go throughout your day, be a person who sows in peace and raises a harvest of righteousness. Look to Jesus, apply the Word of God for growth, meditate on it, and experience true peace.
